Community Activities are an important part of the Veterans of Foreign Wars way of life and a great benefit to the community. Everyone develops his own perception of his or her community by what he sees going on in their immediate surroundings. VFW Posts strive to be active in their Communities assisting those in need and furthering our motto of: "Honor the Dead by Serving the Living”.
Posts that are strong in Community Activities not only earn respect in the community, but will also be strong in membership.
We urge Community Members to contact their local VFW Post whenever they have a need in the Community. The local Post may not be able to meet every request and take care of every need, but there are many ways our organization can assist.
VFW Members: For a complete overview of the Community Activities Program please sign into the members only section (user name is your membership number and password is your last name) and go to the Commander’s Leadership Manual.
