Highway 146 from Anna to Vienna to be named in honor of Brian Romines

The Illinois State Legislature has adopted Joint Resolution 42, designating the section of Route 146 between Anna and Vienna, Illinois as the "Sergeant Brian Romines Memorial Highway”. 

The highway will be named in honor of Sgt. Brian Romines, who served with the Illinois Army National Guard’s  2nd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery Regiment based in Milan. 
 
Brian was killed in action on June 6, 2005, when an improvised explosive device detonated near the vehicle he was travelling in near Baghdad, Iraq.
 
Romines was born to Clyde Randall and Melinda Clary Romines on October 26, 1984 and was a graduate of Anna Jr. High School and Vienna High School. 
 
He was a member of Baker Ladd Post 1567 in Herrin, when he was Killed In Action.
